A talent agency with famous clients bought a domain this week.
Sedo's top public sale this past week was gian.com for $150,000. The domain points to a parking page and the Whois is private, so it's unclear who bought it. Gian is an Italian name, it's short for Global Initiative of Academic Networks, there's a company with a trademark for it, and the domain is developed in other TLDs. So who bought it? Only time will tell.
While I couldn't figure out who bought gian.com, I tracked down the buyers of 18 domains acquired by end users. The list is below; you can view previous lists like this here.
IndustryTech.com $17,500 - Adamos GmbH helps manufacturing plants with their digital transformations by providing an app marketplace.
Simka.com $15,000 - Derma Aesthetics Pty Ltd in Australia is a skincare company. I'm not sure what this domain is for.
TrustWeek.com $12,600 - OneTrust provides companies with solutions for security, compliance, ethics, sustainability, etc. It hosts a conference called TrustWeek and it forwards this domain to a subdomain on its main website that promotes the conference.
Deutsche-immobilien.de €11,000 - Deutsche Immobilien is a German real estate development firm. It forwards this domain to the unhyphenated version that it uses.
Pilato.it €5,490 - Pilato is an Italian company that makes hearses and limousines.
LiveBetter.de €4,284 - A MarkMonitor client bought this domain. It doesn't resolve yet.
CabanaLabs.com $3,995 - There's no content on the domain but the title tag is "Coin Cabana", so this is probably related to cryptocurrency.
CreativeArtistsAgency.com $3,799 - Creative Artists Industry is a big artist representative for clients including Tom Hanks, Steven Spielberg, and Zendaya. It uses the domain CAA.com.
Genuss.bio €3,580 and Genuss.guide €2,500 - The buyer is connected to a company called Genuss Media GmbH.
MyTreatmentLender.com $3,177 - This domain forwards to an internet-based psychology site that seems to be in development.
Premier.plus $3,000 - Premier Christian Communications Ltd is a European Christian media company.
Felco.co.uk €2,995 - Felco manufactures pruning sheers and other outdoor tools. It uses the domain Felco.com.
WVUF.com $2,500 - West Virginia University Foundation bought its initialism.
Ecozoom.de €2,499 - Ecozoom helps companies independently calculate their carbon footprint for products and the company. It uses the domain ecozoom.pro.
Ekohim.com $2,200 - TOO Ekokhim inzhiniring is a company in Kazakstan that sells industrial equipment. It uses the matching .kz domain name.
Rooted.co.uk £2,000 - Beyou Together Ltd provides menstrual health products at BeYouOnline.co.uk and CBD products at BeYouCBD.co.uk. Maybe it is rebranding or this is for a new product line.
Digidolar.com €2,000 - Wallenomic is a "global liquidity provider that allows institutions anywhere to access their synthetic assets using Diginomic's protocol."
