The New Year's Premier League fixtures continue on Sunday with four more games, headlined by Chelsea hosting Liverpool at Stamford Bridge at 16:30 (Chelsea 13/8, Liverpool 7/4, Draw 12/5).

After Manchester City controversially edged out Arsenal 2-1 on Saturday thanks to Rodri's injury-time winner, Chelsea and Liverpool both go into Sunday's showdown knowing their is no room for error if they are to try and stay on the Citizens' coat-tails in the title race.

Pep Guardiola's men are now 11 points clear of the Blues in second, while Liverpool are 12 points adrift, although the Reds do have two games in hand as it stands.

The visitors will be without boss Jurgen Klopp in west London after he returned a positive Covid test, while three unnamed first-team players have also been forced to isolate over the past few days. Liverpool have not confirmed the names of those three but goalkeeper Alisson and forward Roberto Firmino were both not pictured in training on Friday to suggest they are two of the trio.

If Alisson does miss out, Caoimhin Kelleher is in line to replace him, while Andy Robertson is suspended and Thiago, Divock Origi and Takumi Minamino have all been ruled out through injury.

Some reports on Sunday morning have suggested Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel, meanwhile, will drop striker Romelu Lukaku after recent quotes from the Belgium frontman emerged saying he was unhappy at Stamford Bridge.

At 14:00, Brentford, who are 14th, entertain an Aston Villa side two places and two points above them in the table. Villa, who will have boss Steven Gerrard back in the dugout following his recent Covid-enforced absence, are without suspended centre-back Tyrone Mings, while the Bees have Christian Norgaard available after suspension, while Bryan Mbeumo's calf injury will be checked.

Villa are 29/20 to win, Brentford are 21/10 and the draw is 9/4.

Everton expect forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin to be back on the bench against Brighton at least for the first time since August after he's finally recovered from thigh and toe injuries, while the Seagulls should have Leandro Trossard available after a hamstring strain.

Everton are 17/10 to win, Brighton are 15/8 and the draw at Goodison Park is 21/10.

Leeds United are set to play their first game since December 18 when they host Burnley, also at 14:00 (Leeds EVS, draw 13/5, Burnley 11/4). Head coach Marcelo Bielsa says captain Liam Cooper and key midfielder Kalvin Phillips are likely to be out until March with thigh injuries, while striker Patrick Bamford is still struggling with his own thigh problem.

There is better news for the Whites, though, as their injury and Covid crisis has eased somewhat with Junior Firpo, Diego Llorente and Daniel James all set to return, while Jack Harrison has also been passed fit.

Burnley hope Maxwel Cornet could feature after recovering from a thigh injury, Kevin Long is available again following a Covid absence but Josh Brownhill has been ruled out after a positive test.
