Top spot in Serie A is on the line when Napoli play host to title rivals AC Milan in the late kick-off (19:45)  in Italy on Sunday evening (Match betting - Napoli 11/10, AC Milan 11/4, Draw 23/10).

Inter Milan lead the way following their 5-0 thumping of Salernitana on Friday evening, but the Nerazzurri are just a single point ahead of the two teams in action at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium.

Hosts Napoli head into the showdown with the Rossoneri boosted by having ended a four-game winless run by securing a 2-1 victory at Lecce last time out.

Milan, meanwhile, arrive unbeaten in seven across all competitions, although they have drawn their last three - a result which head coach Stefano Pioli says they will not be targeting in Naples.

He commented: "If we go in with the thought of drawing, you're getting closer to a negative result than anything else.

"Napoli have the best defence in the league and both teams have strong offensive departments, so I think whoever defends best will win."

Also in Serie A, improving Juventus can solidify their top-four status with a win at home to Spezia (KO 17:00).

Juve are almost on the cusp of the Scudetto race following a run of 13 games without defeat in in the league and they should be confident of seeing off a Spezia side who have lost their last three (Match betting - Juventus 1/4, Spezia 11/1, Draw 5/1).

Top-four hopes are also the focus of attention in Spain's La Liga too, starting with Barcelona's afternoon (15:15) trip to Elche (Match betting - Elche 7/1, Barca 2/5, Draw 19/5).

However, the big game of the day comes at the Estadio Benito Villamarin at 20:00, when third-placed Real Betis play host to Atletico Madrid. (Match betting - Betis 21/10, Atletico 7/5, Draw 9/4).

Betis head into the game boosted by having booked their place in the Copa del Rey final thanks to a 1-1 draw at home to Rayo Vallecano, with a last-gasp Borja Iglesias goals securing a 3-2 aggregate success,

Visitors Atleti are currently down in fifth place in the standings, but appear to be finding form after winning their last two without conceding a goal to either Osasuna or Celta Vigo.

Also worthy of a mention is the Ligue 1 meeting of Marseille and Monaco (19:45) at the Stade Velodrome, with the hosts looking well placed to secure a Champions League spot come the end of the season.

Monaco, meanwhile, find themselves down in tenth place and need to improve if they are to play any European football at all next term.
