Warrington Wolves (Grand Final winner 25/1) forward Joe Philbin has confirmed his 2022 is over after being forced off in Friday's win against Hull FC.
The former Ireland international hobbled off during the tryless contest with a couple of penalty kicks from Gareth Widdop and Stefan Ratchford enough to secure a much-needed win.
However, in what has been a difficult season so far for the Wire, they didn't escape scot-free after Philbin was seen leaving the ground wearing a knee brace on his right leg.
Although the exact scale of the injury is currently unclear, second-row Philbin said it would rule him out for the rest of the 2022 season.

It means he will lose his 100% record of games played in 2022 as he was the only Warrington player to have featured in all 17 matches.
Writing on Instagram, Philbin confirmed: "Well 2022 that's a wrap."
"Definitely not gone the way I planned it but now it's time to put all my energy into recovery and coming back a different beast in 2023."
It is another blow in what has been a disappointing season for Warrington under the stewardship of Daryl Powell.
Currently, they sit ninth in the table having only won six times all season, despite being tipped to challenge at the beginning of the campaign.
Recently, Powell has sought to strengthen his squad and, at the weekend, he brought in England centre Jake Wardle from Huddersfield Giants.
The Wolves are next in action on Sunday when they welcome Salford Red Devils (Match betting - Warrington 4/11, Salford 11/5, tie 22/1) to the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
