Speaking to Sky Sports, Westerman said: "I've been a Cas fan myself and there's nothing better than being stood on the terraces and seeing Cas win.
"We (the team) just need to keep performing, getting the fans behind us and I think we'll keep getting the wins."
The Giants have won six games on the spin and have already beaten Castleford at the John Smith's Stadium back in March.
No fewer than 60 points were scored in that Huddersfield success, with Ricky Leutele scoring a hat-trick, however, it was announced this week that the Samoan is facing three months on the sidelines with a knee injury.
Coach Ian Watson has said Leutele's absence gives Toby King a chance to impress, with the 25-year-old 5/4 in the Anytime Tryscorer market for Friday night's big clash.
