There are five Bank Holiday Monday meetings in the UK plus two from Ireland on a busy start to the new week.
The traditional late August Bank Holiday meeting at Cartmel is among the highlights, while there's also action from Chepstow, Epsom, Ripon and Southwell, alongside the Irish meetings at Roscommon and Downpatrick.
The first race of the day is due off at Southwell at 13:05 with the last of eight from the Nottinghamshire venue set for 17:05.
Cartmel's eagerly-anticipated meeting begins at 13:39 and there is a seven-race card from the Cumbrian track with the final race scheduled for 17:10.
Brian Hughes is on board The Vollan (9/2) for Laura Morgan in the Cavendish Cup Handicap Chase at Cartmel at 15:24 and he looks to be a big player in this seven-strong field after three victories earlier this summer at Southwell.
St Leger Betting Odds
Chepstow's six-race offering gets under way at 13:46 and finishes up after the 16:41, while the meeting at Ripon is due to start at 13:58 and the seventh and last race there is set for 17:26.
The second contest at Ripon at 14:33 is one of Betfred's 'Extra Place' promotional races, paying out four places (1/5 odds), and City Vaults (5/1) stands out amongst the 14 runners. He easily won a classified contest at Ayr early this month and then followed up with a good second here 16 days ago.
Epsom's seven-race card begins at 14:05 with the meeting due to finish up after the 17:35. The third race at 15:15 is another of Betfred's designated 'Extra Place' promotional contests and it features Evocative Spark (11/4), who will be dangerous if repeating the form that saw him win well at Chester in June.
The first Irish meeting to get under way is at Downpatrick at 13:50, with the last of seven races there set for 17:20, while the action at Roscommon on Monday - where there are also seven races - starts at 16:20 and finishes with the 19:30.
