The 2nd and final T20I takes place on Friday morning, with Australia holding a 1-0 lead, after a dramatic last over win at the Metricon in Carrara, Queensland. Can the Windies square up the series at the Gabba, or will it be another Aussie whitewash? We've previewed this one and thrown up two suggested bets.
Australia vs West Indies 2nd T20 Tips
The Aussies owe a huge debt of gratitude to skipper Aaron Finch and keeper Matthew Wade, with the two putting on 69 for the sixth wicket, after coming together at the crease with the hosts 58-5. Australia were chasing a relatively low 145 and made hard work of it, before Finch and Wade got them over the finishing line.
For the West Indies, it was another disappointing loss and should they lose at the Gabba, it would be their sixth straight white-ball series loss. Kyle Mayers (see below) was the only one who looked relatively comfortable against the Aussies fearsome bowling line-up, while Alzarri Joseph was by far the pick of the Windies bowlers.
Some dreadful fielding in the latter stages ended up costing the tourists the game and they will need to sharpen that up, should they go on to square the series.
Cricket Betting Odds
Most match sixes - West Indies - 4/5
The Windies may not be enjoying their white ball cricket at the moment but they continue to be explosive with the bat. In the majority of their recent games, whether they have won or lost, they have hit the most sixes. In the first T20 West Indies hit six sixes, compared to the Aussies one.
Odean Smith - Top West Indies bowler - 4/1
Smith was fairly quiet in the first T20, taking 1-19 off his three overs but he has consistently taken wickets for the Windies in recent T20's, picking up three wickets on three occasions this year. He has 21 wickets in 20 appearances at an average of 27 and a team-leading strike rate of 16.2.
