A busier day of racing in store on Tuesday with five meetings taking place across Britain and Ireland as jumps action comes from Punchestown, Ayr and Southwell, while all-weather meetings are at Lingfield and Wolverhampton.
Our Tuesday fancies include Lady Percival for a Hughie Morrison and Franny Norton team that have a good record together in recent times.
Selections
- Wolverhampton 16.20 - Lady Percival @ 5/2
- Ayr 13.40 - Captain Quint @ 9/2
- Southwell 15.05 - Biowavego @ 11/4
Tip 1
Franny Norton has enjoyed good times riding for Hughie Morrison so far in 2022, with a couple of wins from just four rides for the handler. One of those successful outings was on LADY PERCIVAL (5/2) in a C&D contest last month and they can strike again at Wolverhampton (16.20) this afternoon.
The 4YO Sir Percy filly was having just her second start at this 1m6f trip in that run last month, coming with a strong late run to score commandingly after having finished third behind smart performer Pentland Hills at Haydock on first go in September.
A 4lb rise in the ratings doesn't look prohibitive for a filly that should have more to come at this distance and it's noted that Norton sticks with her this evening, despite Mark Johnston's recent Chelmsford runner-up Fairmac being in opposition.

Tip 2
Rose Dobbin elects to send CAPTAIN QUINT (9/2) quickly back into battle after a mishap at Newcastle on Saturday when he pecked on landing after the first jump and catapulted Craig Nichol from the saddle.
He was strongly fancied for that race on the back of a win at Hexham (1m7½f, soft) at the start of the month on his chasing debut. He's rated 5lb higher in a better contest now but there's almost certainly further progress to come from him and he could be the value in this now five-runner field after Donny Boy was declared a non-runner.
He did well to win at Hexham as Nichol lost an iron briefly before they turned for home and he was conceding plenty weight to the eventual second and he could be hard to handle here getting weight from market rivals Gold Cup Bailly and Doctor Ken. He's on the Most Napped table via the Betfred Betfinder today and can justify his position.
Tip 3
BIOWAVEGO (11/4) looks to have a fine opportunity for Jonjo O'Neill Jr and Snr in this three-mile handicap hurdle at Southwell (15.05).
He's got a bit more experience over timber than some of these rivals, winning a maiden hurdle at Uttoxeter (2m4f, good) in July and opening his account in handicap company with a Worcester success upped to 2m7f (soft) last month.
They got racing a fair way from home in that contest and he showed a willing attitude for the battle over the final two obstacles before pulling clear on the flat. This longer trip should be a positive for him on that evidence.
