Brazil looked on a different planet, when dispatching four past South Korea in the round of 16 match up and are justifiably short priced favourites to win the whole thing.

Croatia, meanwhile, had to get past the Japanese on a penalty shootout and still look short of goals (apart from against the hapless Canada).

In the last three head-to-head contests between the two countries, A Seleção lead 6-1 on aggregate. I think we will see a similar score line on Friday, where Brazil should win by more than one goal.

Richarlison to score

The Tottenham striker is a different prospect for his country than his club. The 25-year-old has 20 goals in 41 appearances for Brazil and scored arguably the best solo AND best team goal of the tournament.

Richarlison has three goals at Qatar 2022 and is averaging 2.3 shots per game, so should get more attempts on goal here.

Vinicius Junior 1+ assist

Left winger Vini Jr has been superb in their tournament also and bagged his first goal against South Korea for Brazil's opener. He also picked up his second assist of the World Cup and his marauding runs down the left cause constant danger.

Expect the 22-year-old to provide chances for Richarlison, Neymar and Raphinha.

Luca Modric 1+ Shot on target

The 37-year-old is in the twilight of his career and isn't as mobile as he once was. He still possesses a fearsome shot though, when given the chance and has managed three shots on target in his last two games.
