Table toppers Arsenal will be seeking to get back to winning ways when they host Brentford at the Emirates on Saturday afternoon (15:00). We have previewed the game and provided you with our best bets for the occasion.
Arsenal vs Brentford Tips
- Arsenal to win and over 2.5 total goals @ EVS
- Both teams to score - No @ 4/5
Arsenal (4/11) slipped up in a shock defeat to Everton last time out in Sean Dyche's first game in charge of the Merseyside outfit, but the Gunners remain top of the Premier League and Mikel Arteta will be eager to see his side extend their lead at the summit of the table.
Their confidence should be helped by the fact they were comfortable 3-0 winners in the reverse fixture between the sides in September.
Meanwhile, Brentford (15/2) have kept three successive clean sheets and head to the Emirates Stadium on a nine-match unbeaten run in the Premier League.
Last weekend, they cruised to a 3-0 victory over Southampton, courtesy of goals from Ben Mee, Bryan Mbeumo and Mathias Jensen, which moved the Bees up to seventh in the table, and Thomas Frank's side could leapfrog Brighton into sixth should they better the Seagulls' result this weekend.
Team News
Gabriel Martinelli and Bukayo Saka were both nullified against Everton but they will no doubt start on Saturday for the Gunners.
Gabriel Jesus continues to recover from a knee injury, while Mohamed Elneny is expected to miss the rest of the season after undergoing surgery.
As for the visitors, Pontus Jansson and Frank Onyeka are both sidelined with thigh injuries, while Shandon Baptiste looks set to be absent with a groin problem.
Apart from that, the Bees have no fresh concerns ahead of their trip to the Emirates, so Frank may name the same starting XI that beat Southampton last weekend.
Latest Arsenal vs Brentford Betfred Odds
Arsenal to win and over 2.5 total goals @ EVS
This bet landed in the reverse fixture between the sides, and I can see it coming in again here.
Three or more goals have been scored in three of the last four encounters between these sides, and the Gunners are the second-highest scorers in the Premier League with 45.
Arsenal have already enjoyed 3-1 wins at home to London rivals Tottenham and West Ham this season, so I fancy them to put a few past the Bees this weekend.
Both teams to score - No @ 4/5
Both teams have scored in only one of both of Arsenal's and Brentford's last six games, so I believe it will not land in this game.
The Bees will be confident they can get on the scoresheet but they have been shipping plenty of goals on their travels this season, conceding five goals at Newcastle, four at Aston Villa and three at Fulham.
In addition, Brentford only have two wins in 10 league outings this term.
