Back Nice-1 on the Match Handicap+1.0 market at 13/8

Looking back through just over a month of these columns and it is starting to become clear to me where I'm doing well and where I'm doing shall we say, less well. On the positive side of the ledger has been total goals, match result and anytime scorer plays, they are providing my most consistent surplus. When it comes to match handicap tips however, I'm definitely in the red.

So I'm putting up a match handicap play today and I'm hating myself for believing it's a good bet but here we are.

Nice are in outstanding form for a mid-table team and even went on the road to Marseille and beat them 1-3 last weekend. Remember the Les Phocéens would go on to beat PSG on Wednesday to keep the title race just about alive. Nice have only suffered one defeat since the winter break - a strange French Cup defeat and the only time they've dropped points was at the home of the Football Manager gaffer who has taken the football world by storm.

Ajaccio are their opponents and they are languishing in the relegation zone. Olivier Pantaloni's side have lost every game bar one since the restart following that enforced break with their only victory coming against ten-man bottom of the table Angers due to an injury time winner. Basically they aren't very good and their form is woeful. They will also be without their captain and vice-captain for this game.

All signs point to the home side rolling and to win even with a one-game handicap feels like a much better than 50:50 shot so to get 13/8 feels like value as I look to claw back my arrears from the match handicap bets.
