A betting website has released odds along with top candidates to replace Tucker Carlson in his 8 p.m. Eastern time slot on Fox News. The list contains a number of current Fox News contributors in addition to some longshots.
Gambling.com released a list of ten potential candidates to replace what was the most highly-rated show on cable news. Each candidate's name was accompanied by betting odds, though the lines are not available for wagers on any sportsbooks or betting apps.
Topping the list as the site's odds-on favorite is current Fox News personality Jesse Watters at +150. The longtime Fox contributor has frequently appeared on the network's early evening program "The Five," in addition to hosting a number of his own shows.
The website's second and third most-favored candidates are current Fox evening news hosts Laura Ingraham (+200) and Sean Hannity (+250), both of whom currently occupy the 10 p.m. and 9 p.m. (Eastern) time slots. Either of those names would essentially amount to a shuffle of timeslots.
Former White House press secretary Kayleigh McEnany was next on the list at +400, followed close behind by Fox News veteran Tomi Lahren at +500. Dana Perino — a longtime network contributor who served as press secretary under George W. Bush — has odds of +750 to fill the slot.
The rest of the list included a number of longshot names, including NCAW swimmer Riley Gaines, who has spoken out against transgender swimmer Lia Thomas being able to compete in women's sports. Odds for Gaines filling the slot were listed at +10000. Other wild card names included Elon Musk (+50000) and Mike Lindell (+75000), as well as Don Lemon.
The odds for Lemon filling the slot — whose firing from CNN was announced hours after Carlson's departure from Fox was announced — were calculated at +1000000.
