Everton host Newcastle United on Thursday night (19:45) as they bid to pull away from the relegation zone, while the Magpies are seeking to consolidate a place in the top four. We've previewed this game and provided you with some suggested best bets for the occasion.
Everton vs Newcastle Tips
- Newcastle to win @ 8/11
- Alexander Isak to score anytime @ 11/10
After winning three games - all by a 1-0 scoreline - in a relatively short space of time immediately after Sean Dyche's arrival, Everton (4/1) have hit a poor run of form that has seen them drop into the relegation zone.
The stalemate away at Crystal Palace at the weekend means it is now no wins in five now for the Toffees, and with three of their remaining six game being against title and top four-chasing teams - Man City, Newcastle and Brighton - the blue side of Merseyside need to pick up points, and fast.
Meanwhile, Newcastle's (8/11) hopes of securing Champions League football at St. James' Park next season were boosted massively over the weekend, after they thrashed Tottenham Hotspur 6-1.
The victory was the perfect response to last week's 3-0 defeat to Aston Villa, and it leaves them in third place, level on points with fourth-placed Manchester United having played a game more.
Team News
For the hosts, Andros Townsend and Seamus Coleman remain out with injury, while Mason Holgate is suspended after being sent off against Crystal Palace at the weekend.
However, Abdoulaye Doucoure is back after serving his own suspension, and Amadou Onana is fit again following a recent groin injury.
As for Newcastle, Fabian Schar a doubt with a hamstring strain, while Allan Saint-Maximin could also miss the game with a similar injury.

Newcastle to win @ 8/11
It's difficult to oppose an away win in this one.
The Magpies just look on a different level to Everton, and right now they're in far superior form and playing with so much confidence. Their last away trip was the 3-0 loss to Villa but one could argue that was a blip, as prior to that defeat, Eddie Howe's side had won three away games on the spin.
The Toffees started well under Sean Dyche, but now they've hit a bit of a rough patch, and the race is well and truly on to beat the drop.
Alexander Isak to score anytime @ 11/10
The Swedish striker is the man of the moment for Newcastle.
He has four goals in his last four games after Sunday's double against Tottenham, and has notched up 10 goals in just 11 starts for the Magpies this season.
I fancy him to add to his goal haul against a vulnerable Everton backline.
