Sunday was a busy day for managerial manoeuvres but it all started up at the King Power with Brendan Rodgers and Leicester parting ways. The news coming out of Stamford Bridge several hours later however has very much changed the Next Leicester Manager market however…
Yes, Graham Potter is the 5/6 odds-on favourite for the job. On the face of it, that makes some sense. The 47 year-old is a fine manager who I'm positive would do an excellent job but does he need to jump straight back into work in a less than ideal situation? Leicester are very much in the mire and could certainly go down. I'm not sure Potter's reputation will be too tarnished by his Chelsea experience as the influx of new players into the squad made it a very difficult job. Not being able to save the Foxes though would be two blots on his CV in the same season.
Rafa Benitez is a much more interesting option at 6/1. The former Liverpool boss is out of work and has made noises about getting back into management. His reputation is assured so this would be more of a free hit for the Spaniard.
Leicester are unlikely to go for any manager who is up and coming as this is a short-term firefighting appointment so I'm not too sure Steven Gerrard at 10/1 is a great price. Ange Postecolglu has done a fine job north of the border at Celtic but is he ready to swap Celtic and a title ruin for a relegation fight in the Premier League and potentially Championship football next season?

Jesse Marsch (16/1) and Ralph Hassenhuttl (12/1) both started the season with jobs in the league but were fired when their bosses decided they weren't the right people to keep Leeds and Southampton up respectively, so who thinks they would do a better job at Leicester?
Out at 20/1 we find Marcelo Bielsa who would be an extremely interesting appointment. He is good enough to invest in long-term even if they went down as you would back the Foxes to bounce straight back up even if they were to drop to the Championship with the Argentine at the helm. Thomas Frank is 16/1 but why would he leave Brentford for Leicester looking at their respective league positions?
Big Sam can be backed at 25/1 with former Leicester hero Claudio Ranieri a 20/1 shot to return to the club.
This is a tough market to predict and I'm not sure Potter will be interested and therefore potential value is to be found.
