There is lots of racing action on Saturday across Britain and Ireland, including the eagerly-anticipated return of the Flat as Doncaster hosts the Lincoln Handicap.
The action on Town Moor is one of six Saturday cards, with a further Flat meeting on the turf at Bellewstown alongside all-weather meetings from Kempton and Chelmsford. Meanwhile, Jumps fans can look to Stratford and Uttoxeter on a busy day.
There are seven live races on ITV Racing this afternoon and we've got picks for the terrestrial action, while after the cameras are off Simon & Ed Crisford's exciting Poker Face is fancied to score.
Selections
- Doncaster 4.10 - Poker Face @ 5/4
- Uttoxeter 3.55 - Blackjack Magic @ 10/3
- Chelmsford 5.30 - Brazen Arrow @ 11/4
Tip 1
POKER FACE (5/4) won all three starts for the Simon & Ed Crisford team last season and could be an exciting four-year-old for them this term.
The gelded son of Fastnet Rock won a Pontefract maiden on debut in comfortable fashion over a mile in September and followed up readily over the same trip on the all-weather at Newcastle.
His handicap bow came back at Pontefract over 1m2f (good to soft) in mid-October and he fairly bolted up, scoring by more than eight-lengths with James Doyle on board for the first time.
He takes an immediate rise into Listed company on this seasonal bow, with Doyle on board again, and can account for the likes of Group 3 winner Tempus in further enhancing his CV.

Tip 2
The Dee Lambley Birthday Celebration Novices' Limited Handicap Chase (3.55) at Uttoxeter sees Olly Murphy's Lord Of Kerak installed as short-price favourite after going close at Wetherby (3m, soft) last time but he might have his work cut out in facing the Anthony Honeyball-trained BLACKJACK MAGIC (10/3) now.
His January success at Exeter (3m, heavy) was impressive as he accounted for the smart mare Rose Of Arcadia on just his second outing for this trainer.
That win showed he will have no queries with today's underfoot conditions and he was competing in a stronger race than this last time at this course when his jumping let him down and Aidan Coleman pulled him up.
Rex Dingle takes over now and in this smaller field against weaker opposition, he may well be able to rectify those issues.
Tip 3
The opening Racing Welfare Handicap (5.30) over 7f at Chelmsford this evening offers a good opportunity for BRAZEN ARROW (11/4) to notch a second win of his career.
The Christine Dunnett-trained five-year-old has finished second in two of his last three appearances, including over this trip at Wolverhampton in the middle of March.
He faces just five rivals this evening and those with recent form have been out of sorts, while the likes of Butterfly Island and Vitralite have questions to answer starting out for new stables.
Brazen Arrow looks to be the form player in this contest.
