Brighton to win
Brighton have won three of their last four home matches, while they've won their last two league meetings with Manchester United.
The Seagulls put in a brilliant performance on Saturday as they crushed Wolves 6-0, including four strikes in the first 40 minutes of the game. That thumping victory has seen the Seagulls rise to eighth, and they have games in hand on their rivals above them.
The Red Devils have lost six of their seven visits to the top nine and they've won just one of their last 13 league games at a side starting the day in the top 10.
In addition, Erik ten Hag's men have lost six of seven visits to the current top nine, conceding 27 times.
Pascal Gross to score anytime
United should be wary of Brighton's Pascal Gross here, after his double at the weekend.
The midfielder has scored six Premier League goals against the Red Devils - more than he has against any other opponent.
Since 2017-18, only Mohamed Salah (10) has scored more against the Red Devils than Gross - and the German netted a brace in the reverse fixture at Old Trafford on the opening day of the season.
Over 39.5 total booking points
The other two meetings between these sides this season has seen the quota of over 39.5 booking points met, so I think it will land again on Thursday night.
Both of United's centre-backs picked up bookings in the opening day Premier League defeat and in the FA Cup semi-final triumph, while at least one of Ten Hag's midfielders also found their way into the referee's book on both occasions.
If you're unfamiliar with booking points, then here is a quick summary: a yellow card is worth 10 points and a red card is worth 25 points, and if a player is sent off for two bookable offences they are awarded 35 points instead of 45 as the second yellow card does not count for the purposes of booking points.
