Football Bet of the Day: Yellow Canaries to keep title pressure on

Fenerbahce are still in with a chance of winning the Turkish Super Lig this season and they can keep the pressure on table-toppers Galatasaray with a victory at home to Antalyaspor on Tuesday evening in our football bet of the day.

The Yellow Canaries are five points adrift of the league leaders heading into the penultimate round of fixtures and anything less than six points from their last six two matches will end their hopes of lifting the trophy.

With Fenerbahce travelling to Galatasaray on the final day there is even more significance on Tuesday's fixtures, with any slip up from the leaders when they travel to Ankaragucu on the same evening taking the title down to the last game.

Given the fact Galatasaray beat Fenerbahce 3-0 earlier in the campaign, the latter would have to equal that result on the final day to take the title, as their goals scored record is far superior to the table toppers.

First things first, the Yellow Canaries must pick up all three points on Tuesday against Antalyaspor and hope Ankaragucu can do them a favour at the same time.

Fenerbahce booked their place in the Turkish Cup final last time out with a 3-0 victory over Sivasspor - the second straight match they have won by this scoreline - and they will be hoping to keep their impressive run of form going.

The Yellow Canaries are on a three-match winning streak and haven't tasted defeat in their last 11 assignments across all competitions, the most recent loss coming on April 2 at home to Besiktas.

Jorge Jesus has his side firing on all cylinders, netting nine times across the last three games, and only failing to score in one of their last 14 competitive games.

It has not been as rock-solid at the back for them, however, and Fenerbahce have only kept one clean sheet in their last 11 league matches and have conceded nine goals from their last four home league fixtures.

This should give hope to Antalyaspor that they can at least find the back of the net, something they have only failed to do once from their last six away league contests.

However, while scoring goals is not an issue, picking up victories on their travels is and they have only tasted success once from their last 11 away matches.

Given what is on the line here for Fenerbahce and the fact that Antalyaspor are all-but safe, backing the home win and both teams to score looks to be the play in this one.
