Tip 1
Lightly raced colt MAGHLAAK (10/3) is bidding to complete a hat-trick at Goodwood this afternoon in the 1m2f handicap at 15:05. Charles Hills' runner won over this C&D last time out and he now makes his handicap debut off a workable mark of 86.
The son of Muhaarar made all in that race at this course last September. He battled gamely inside the final furlong to hold off his challengers. Expect to see him dictate the pace again here with Dane O'Neill in the saddle.
The four-year-old features on the Betfred Betfinder as one of the most Napped selections this afternoon. There should be a lot more to come from this colt on what is only his second season on the track.
Tip 2
Two-time C&D winner TWILIGHT CALLS (3/1) had an excellent campaign last season in the sprint division. He made a successful return to action at this course in a handicap contest, carrying top weight to victory.
Henry Candy's runner then featured at the highest level later in the year. He finished second in the Temple Stakes at Haydock behind King's Lynn. He did not get a clear run in that race which meant he was very unlucky to go down by a head. A month later, he ran a career-best to come home runner-up in the King's Stand Stakes behind the Australian star Nature Strip.
This is a drop down in class for the five-year-old gelding. He tends to go well fresh, and if he reproduces anything near that run at Royal Ascot, he will prove hard to beat in the Group Three Howden Palace House Stakes.

Tip 3
O'Brien has the top two runners in the betting for this year's 2,000 Guineas, so there is a good chance he will extend his record in the British Classic to 11 wins. His leading hope is through AUGUSTE RODIN (7/4), a horse that is likely to be campaigned for the Triple Crown this year, should everything go to plan at Newmarket.
The son of Deep Impact showed his class last season to land the Group One Vertem Futurity Trophy Stakes. Once he got a clear run in that field at Doncaster, he powered home to prevail by just over three lengths.
Ryan Moore has had the choice of the two Ballydoyle runners in the British Classic. He has opted for the Doncaster winner over Little Big Bear. With a pedigree that indicates he will get much further later this season, a strongly run race, which this often is, will suit the talented colt.
