Two title challengers in the Betfred Super League will meet at St James' Park on Saturday as Wigan Warriors take on Catalans Dragons.
The two sides are second and third in the table, and Wigan are only ahead of their French rivals thanks to their superior points difference.
Of the two sides, Wigan have the superior record at Magic Weekend, but the recent form suggests Catalans will be a tough nut to crack.
With the season reaching the halfway point this weekend, both teams will be desperate to build some momentum and, at the same time, put a tent in each others' title ambitions.
Wigan Warriors vs Catalans Dragons Betting Tips:
Catalans Dragons +6 handicap @ 20/21
Wigan Warriors 1-5 points @ 11/2
Date: Saturday 3rd June, 2023
Time: 15:45

Team news
Wigan coach Matty Peet makes one change to his 21-man squad, with Jai Field returning to the fold for the first time since March, with Harvey Makin the one to make way.
Catalans boss Steve McNamara has made three alterations to his squad ahead of the trip to St James' Park, as Sam Tomkins, Mitchell Pearce and Alrix Da Costa return in place of Matthieu Laguerre, Cesar Rouge and Ugo Tison.

Catalans Dragons +6 handicap @ 20/21
McNamara's side have not travelled well at times this season, and they have lost three in four away from Perpignan. That is far from ideal heading to St James' Park, but confidence should be high after three wins in a row in Super League.
They defeated reigning Super League champions St Helens along the way, and they also know what it takes to beat the Cherry and Whites.
They beat them 18-10 in March, so if anybody knows the formula to frustrate them, it is McNamara's men.
Betfred Super League Betting Odds
Wigan Warriors 1-5 points @ 11/2
As we have already discussed, this game is likely to be nail-bitingly close, and it should be, with both teams winning nine of their 13 fixtures so far this season.
While Catalans have the talent to beat anyone in Super League, Wigan's recent form is a real boost.
After two successive defeats, Wigan have won two on the spin, and more importantly, they have won ugly. They beat Leeds 18-14 in the Challenge Cup, and their golden point success over Hull KR was further evidence they have found their rhythm in recent weeks.
Field's return should be a timely boost, and it may take a moment of magic from the Australian to win this close battle.
