A rumbustious Anfield atmosphere awaits to welcome old foes Liverpool and Manchester United on Sunday afternoon (16:30) - a match that could have major implications on the respective Premier League title and top-four races. We've previewed the fixture and provided you with some suggested bets for the match.
Liverpool vs Man Utd Tips
- TalkSPORT #PickYourPunt - Marcus Rashford and Mohamed Salah both to score, Casemiro to be booked @ 16/1
- Over 3.5 Total Goals @ 13/8
Both sides are coming into this mouth-watering clash off the back of a victory - Liverpool (7/5) saw off Wolverhampton Wanderers 2-0 to boost their top four hopes, while United (7/4) came from behind to sink West Ham United 3-1 in the FA Cup.
Liverpool have looked a completely different outfit - a wildly inconsistent one at that - to the one that was competing for the quadruple last season. They have just four wins from their last 12 games, but that have risen to sixth spot in the Premier League table, and are six points adrift of fourth-placed Tottenham Hotspur, albeit with a match in hand.
A victory on Sunday would see the Reds firmly in the battle for fourth, but the mauling they experienced at Anfield at the hands of Real Madrid in the Champions League will also be in the back of their minds.
It is seven years since Erik ten Hag's side won at Anfield, when another Dutchman, Louis van Gaal was in charge, but confidence will be high in the United camp, who picked up their first trophy of the season last weekend, beating Newcastle United in the Carabao Cup final.
There has been some premature talk of United achieving a quadruple this season, but they are firm outsiders in this title race, as they currently sit 11 points behind leaders Arsenal with a game in hand.
However, United's progression under Ten Hag has been stunning, especially considering they suffered back-to-back defeats to Brighton and Brentford at the start of the campaign, and they remain on course to go deep in the Europa League and FA Cup.
Team News
Thiago Alcantara, Luis Diaz, Joe Gomez and Calvin Ramsay are all set to miss out for the hosts, while Naby Keita's knock will need assessing for this clash.
Neither Jadon Sancho (illness) nor Luke Shaw (knock) were involved for United in the FA Cup win over West Ham, but the duo should not be sidelined for long and will push to return for the trip to Anfield.
All of Lisandro Martinez, Raphael Varane, Casemiro, Fred, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Marcus Rashford are primed to return to the first XI after being named on the bench in midweek.

TalkSPORT #PickYourPunt - Marcus Rashford and Mohamed Salah both to score, Casemiro to be booked @ 16/1
Mohamed Salah is Liverpool's all-time highest goalscorer against United in all competitions with 10 goals, and he is just one goal shy of equalling Robbie Fowler's all-time Premier League record of 128 for the Reds.
Marcus Rashford scored the first of his 28 goals for club and country this season in the reverse fixture between these sides back in August, and he is aiming to become just the fourth Man United player to score in six successive Premier League games after Eric Cantona, Cristiano Ronaldo and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
It seems almost written in the stars that both will find the back of the net on Sunday.
Casemiro's impact on this United team has been lauded, and rightly so - he has totally transformed the engine room for Erik ten Hag. He's picked up nine bookings this season, as well as a red card, so I think there is plenty of value in backing him to be booked this weekend, especially in what could be a hostile Anfield atmosphere.
Over 3.5 Total Goals @ 13/8
There have been three goals or more in six of Manchester United's 24 Premier League matches this season, and there were plenty of goals in this fixture last year, with Liverpool winning 5-0 at Old Trafford and 4-0 at Anfield.
I find it hard to see a repeat of either of those scorelines - although you never know I suppose - but over 3.5 total goals has been a winning bet in four of United's 12 Premier League away outings, so I think it's decent shout here.
Liverpool have scored two in their last three games at Anfield against Everton, Real Madrid and Wolves, while United have scored at least twice in their past 12 consecutive games - there could be goals galore on Sunday.
