Back Borussia Monchengladbach to beat Bochum @ 5/6
Borussia Monchengladbach sit in the bottom half of the Bundesliga and there is no hiding from the opinion that their form this season has not been anywhere near good enough.
However, a closer look at the table shows their home results have been generally decent and they should dispatch relegation-threatened Bochum with little fuss.
Bochum are unbeaten in three on the road, winning in Cologne and drawing at high-flying Eintracht Frankfurt and Union Berlin but Gladbach's bizarre season suggests they could rock up and blow their visitors away.
Die Fohlen may sit below the tablature equator, but eight wins from 15 home outings leaves them with the sixth-best record in this season's Bundesliga. In contrast, they have the 15th-best away tally, still two places better than Bochum, and it would be typical for them to turn it on at Stadion im Borussia Park.
Football Odds
Back Hoffenheim to beat Eintracht Frankfurt @ 13/10
Eintracht Frankfurt's season has followed a familiar path to last term in that they have approached the business end of the campaign with cup glory rather than league success as their priority.
Like last season, when they beat Rangers to win the Europa League but only finished 11th in the Bundesliga, they are again heading for a contrasting mix of a mid-table finish but with the chance to seal silverware.
Wednesday's 3-2 win at Stuttgart sent them into next month's DFB-Pokal final and they may well still be riding the wave when they make the short journey to Sinsheim.
Opponents Hoffenheim need at least one more win as they look to sort out survival and this might be the match.
They beat both Hertha Berlin and Schalke before losing their last home game to Cologne and with Frankfurt's last league win on the road coming in November, they can take advantage.
Back Bournemouth to beat Chelsea @ 12/5
It sounds almost cynical but there has to be value in backing Bournemouth to beat Chelsea at a price that perhaps reflects reputation rather than form.
The star-studded Blues' catastrophic campaign continued on Tuesday as they went down 3-1 at Arsenal and there is no hiding from the fact that they have now played six games since Frank Lampard took interim charge and lost them all.
As a result, they now sit level with Bournemouth on 39 points, albeit having played a game less, but head to the south coast in woeful form and are preparing to take on a team who have won four of their last five.
That run is likely to be enough to make them safe but Gary O'Neil has instilled an attitude that suggests the Cherries will be in no mood to be charitable and for all the individual quality available to Lampard, he is still someway from stumbling upon anything that resembles a team.
